Le TRAVEL
STORE,
located in the historic Gaslamp
Quarter, downtown San Diego, was
started by Joan & Bill Keller
back in 1976. It's a big store
full of luggage, travel gear,
travel clothing, guide books,
maps and travel accessories all
of which can only be shipped
with a phone order. It's a place
where travelers come to put
together the next trip or to
reflect on prior adventures and
it’s where I found an
irresistible, useful little
gadget – the Wine Companion.

Priced at $20 and made by
TOOL LOGIC,
the world's first manufacturer
of credit card-sized tools, the
Wine Companion has five
accessories, including a
precision corkscrew, foil
cutter, knife, can and bottle
opener, and a cocktail stirrer.
Lightweight and compact, it's a
great travel accessory. Just
remember to pack it in your
checked luggage! They are also
available from Tool Logic direct
and can be custom screened. The
Companion comes in an attractive
presentation tin which can also
be personalized. I just sent
some out as thank you gifts and
the response was uniformly
enthusiastic!

NANCY MORGAN is the
delightful and charming woman
behind Dreamsacks, Inc., a
company “dedicated to natural,
sustainable and renewable
luxury”. Based in Oregon, her
company produces beautiful
luxury bedding and travel
accessories in silk, bamboo, soy
and cashmere.
Dreamsacks also offers silk name
badge holders which are a great
environmentally-friendly and
attractive alternative for those
evenings when attendees
absolutely have to wear a name
badge. Having your name encased
in an elegant silk holder - one
that could even complement an
outfit – might make some people
actually like wearing a name
badge! They are affordable, can
be personalized and are
available in a wide variety of
colors, including black for
formal!
